Welcome to the AVB Community Band website. The Band, formerly known as the “Allouez Village Band”, was established in 1981 by Robert Seering and continues with its tradition of presenting free public concerts to audiences in Northeast Wisconsin. The 75-member band performs monthly concerts from September through May at the Ashwaubenon Performing Arts Center, the Weidner Center for the Performing Arts and the historic Riverside Ballroom. The band is dedicated to its mission of supporting the values of neighborhood pride, community spirit and patriotism through our public performances. Under the direction of Mike Ajango and Associate Director Paul Oleksy, the band is one of the most popular musical organizations in the Northeast Wisconsin area.

Give Big Green Bay
We are thrilled to announce that the band has been selected to participate in “Give Big Green Bay” this year. This exciting 24-hour online giving event invites people throughout the community to discover local nonprofits and invest in their success. Since its launch in 2018, Give Big Green Bay has raised over $17 million to support organizations making a positive impact in Brown County.
Each year, a unique group of nonprofits is chosen to represent the strength and diversity of our community’s nonprofit sector. With the support of a $250,000 matching pool provided by the Green Bay Packers, Give Big Green Bay amplifies the reach and impact of every dollar donated – giving organizations like ours a valuable platform to share our mission and connect with new supporters.
